THE SUCCESS OF THE AFRICAN BLACK AND BLUE PROJECT

Today was the final day in Yaounde, Cameroon, for the African Black and Blue course, supported by UEFA Foundation for Children. Delegations of Inter Campus educators from Angola, Congo and Uganda, along with twenty-five Cameroonian coaches, took part in a theoretical and practical training course on learning about resilience through football, with the aim of supporting children and teenagers who live in vulnerable conditions. The event concludes two years of theoretical and practical activities organized in the individual countries, which have indirectly involved all two thousand children in the sub-Saharan African projects. Yesterday, a small tournament was held among children from various local community cells, with the participation of Madame Carine Nkoue (Project Specialist at UEFA Foundation) and the Ambassador of Italy in Cameroon, Dr. Filippo Scammacca, highlighting the importance of this event which seals twenty years of Inter Campus presence in the country, now a pillar in the friendly relations between Italy and Cameroon. Today, a final theoretical lesson will define the results achieved together and establish further future development goals, followed by the handing out of participation certificates, which everyone will proudly carry home, knowing however that the most precious asset is undoubtedly the training received in these days, which will help local trainers support the children’s growth paths, improving the quality of their lives, particularly in this time of pandemic.
