LEBANON

Lebanon is a republic in the Middle East with a population of four million people and a surface area of 10,452km². The official language is Arabic and its capital is Beirut.

Since 2014 Inter Campus has been active in southern Lebanon, in collaboration with UNIFIL (United Nations Interposition Force in Lebanon) where, in addition to the pedagogical-sports training of the instructors, the goal of the project is the social inclusion of children living in marginalized villages in war zones, where activities dedicated to children are lacking.

In Beirut Inter Campus works since 2018 with the NGO Anera, to prevent social deviance, supporting education and promoting gender equality.

In a context such as Shatila – the refugee camp sadly known for the 1982 massacre in which thousands of civilians were victims of one of the most heinous conflicts in recent history – the Project gives the right to play back to 80 boys and girls.
