It almost doesn’t seem true, after such a long pause – which saw school classes and Inter Campus activities interrupted – that tomorrow everything reopens and resumes! In the small rural village of Roong in Takeo province, everything came to a standstill in March 2020 when government authorities suspended school and sports activities to protect children, teachers, educators, and families from the risk of COVID.

To celebrate this special moment of return to normalcy, Missione Possibile Onlus – our local partner that, since 2011, has been working alongside Inter Campus with 175 children in the primary and secondary schools established by the Association – has also scheduled a live Instagram event that can be followed on Missione Possibile’s profile tomorrow morning, 12 January, at 8:30 AM Italian time.

“Throughout all these months of standstill, Missione Possibile Onlus has never stopped being close to the children and their parents,” recounts Gerry Testori, founder of the Association, “alternating distance learning with small study and reading groups in the two libraries and ensuring creative recreational activities for the youngsters – in addition to supporting the poorest families with the delivery of essential goods packages” – who have continued to wear the black and blue shirt, dreaming of the moment they could return to play on the field!
