SAO PAULO – It is the coldest winter in 30 years, with temperatures dropping to 6°C, an anomaly for Brazil. Yet, the cold does not dampen the enthusiasm of the children from the three Sao Miguel Paulista hubs, who are eager to return to the pitch with the Italian delegation. There are over 150 young participants, supported by five coaches.
Each day features different drills, always centered on collaboration and mutual aid. The pitch remains a metaphor for life, to be carried home at the end of training. Many parents are in the stands, where the importance of collective effort in their children’s development is emphasized, consistently instilling the healthy values of sport.
It is the parents themselves who highlight how the new blue pitch, the site of Nerazzurri activities, was restored through the tenacity of local coaches and the “Inter Campus effect,” which often acts as a catalyst for community mobilization. The space is currently being renovated: alongside the multipurpose field, a concrete pitch and a dirt field are being reclaimed. A swimming pool and covered areas for recreational activities will also be completed.
This is yet another example of collaboration, the very same value we cultivate every day.
